Daddy's big trip.
I forgot to mention that Shawn got an amazing new job with AT&T/Yellowpages.com and had to go away for training for three whole weeks. I am just thankful that I am just somewhat pregnant and not 9 months pregnant. I am even more thankful that I only have one child and that this little one is in my belly... that makes it easier.
He started Monday but had to fly out Sunday night. He gets back on Friday October 2nd and I can't wait to go and pick him up! Landon and I will make a sign and be there waiting for him! Landon will be so excited to see his daddy! This is an amazing opportunity for him and for our growing family. It has a base salary (plus commissions), he will work M-F 8-5 (approx.), he has great benefits and it's a job that Shawn is so proud of. I can't wait to have more than one day with my hubby and to enjoy nights and weekends as a FAMILY. Crazy. When Shawn job shadowed he came home and was a new man. He had a stride in his step and a smile on his face... two things I worried I wouldn't see for a long time!
We have all been praying and we are so appreciative of all of the love, support and prayers that everyone has been sending out. So, thank you! God has a plan and a purpose and has brought us through this rough time!
Last Friday we went up to Keystone and met Shawn's family up there. They rented a house and we had a blast! Landon could actually ride with us when we played golf and once we made it away from the clubhouse we let him play! Papa and Grammy actually bought him his own bag with Landon sized golf clubs! He loves them! We were able to play seven holes before the lightning and rain really set in. Then we called it a day and headed to dinner. Nana, Aunti Nicki and Uncle Jason were all there too. It was a great, relaxing time up in the mountains. Landon loved the lake near our house and throwing big rocks into it!
Then on Sunday we left the mountains and hurried home to get Shawn off to Arizona in time. Landon says daddy is in 'Ona'. Another super adorable word! Ami and Dave came over last night to keep me company and my dad is taking me to dinner on Thursday. Everyone has been so sweet and supportive. I am doing okay right now, a bit worried for a week or two from now. The worst is when Landon is in bed and the house is super quiet. I also miss coming home to him and Landon at the end of the day. It was a nice reward for working.
I will be 18 weeks on Friday and have only gained eight pounds! I should start gaining more weight here soon, so I think it's a good thing I have only gained a bit. Especially since we will be heading to Mecaso right after the baby comes! We had our 16wk appointment on 9/9/09 and got to see the baby! It was very cool to see how much the baby had grown since last time! Instead of being able to see the entire baby with the ultrasound, the doctor had to move it around to see all of the baby!
I thought I saw three lines and the doctor instantly told me that that was not what I thought it was! Shawn later said that he saw a popo... so, who knows! It was cute though, the doctor told us he couldn't show us all of the baby without seeing things that we didn't want to see! We will have to wait until February to find out what we are having! Can't wait!

Our big boy!
I took his birthday off to play with my boys and get ready for his birthday party. So, Thursday we were gonna take him to the park but Landon decided he wanted to go bowling. We had a great time. The first game, daddy and I tried to play, but Landon did NOT like that. :) Grammy came and surprised him, he was so excited to show off his bowling skills (and passion for the game) to her. She loves to bowl too, so this would be a great sport for them to enjoy together! The second (and last game) we let him play by himself. This way he didn't have to wait for his turn. He enjoyed this much more!
Saturday we had a party at our house. We had Mickey, Cars and Choo Choo trains all there! Everyone came and it was so awesome to have them all there! Landon was so happy to have Cody, Emily, Peyton, Kylee and Tessa all there to help him celebrate! I made him a choo choo cake, as this is all he would ask for in the weeks prior to his big day. We ate, sang to him, had cake and opened presents. Then, it was time for the water! We put up our kiddie sprinklers and the kids had a ball. It was so fun to see all of them play and get goofy toghether. This was their first water party together. It was great to see. We are going to try to plan more water days next summer for all of the kids.
Looking back on our three years with him, they have been so amazing. He is such a blessing from God and we are so incredibly lucky and thankful to have him in our lives. He is such a sweet boy and I love him so very much. We moved him last week from his "baby room" to his "big boy room". He has slept in his big boy room since Sunday night. I had him help me move things into his big boy room and then we said goodbye, turned off the light and shut the door. I think it was a good way to show him that his baby room is no more. So far, so good! What a big boy...
I can't wait to give him a sibling... he really deserves (and needs) it! I know that this baby will be just as special, just in his/her own special way! I feel much better having Landon in his big boy room, so now he will not feel jaded if the baby had to kick him out of his old baby room!
Today I am 16 weeks! Four more weeks and we will be half way there. I am really enjoying this pregnancy. Even though, at times, I don't even feel pregnant. I still can't believe it and am in a bit of shock! I think it's because I really, really want another baby and just feel so lucky that God has decided to give us one more. Shawn leaves for three weeks on September 14th and by the time he gets home, I will be 20 weeks! It's amazing how fast time is flying by, it's pretty scary actually! This bump is growing and my body keeps reminding me, otherwise, I REALLY wouldn't believe it! :)
I love my family and can't wait for this new little one to be here!

July 22, 2009

So, just a few days later, we got to see our beautiful baby again. In this photo, the baby looks quite different. It's amazing the difference just a few days make!
You can see five little toes in this picture... I just love it!
I can't wait to meet this little one! I'm ready for February already! :)
Love you angel...

Baby Bump
Our next appointment is Wednesday September 9th and this is our 16 week appointment. Although, I will almost be 17 weeks by then! We will be 20 weeks on Friday October 2nd and will then have the opportunity to find out the sex of this baby. We found out with Landon and it was amazing! I loved knowing and planning, but this time I want to be surprised. I have weighed both sides... to find out or to not find out. I think it would be great to plan and ask for things we need for Christmas... but I also want the surprise. I've heard from everyone that the surprise is totally worth it and makes the delivery just incredible! So, Shawn and I officially decided that we are not finding out the sex of this baby! He is actually more set on this than I am! We are hoping that everyone will come around and support us in this decision. :)
Landon will be three a week from tomorrow! I keep asking him what theme he wants for his birthday and I keep getting the same answers: cars, Mickey, and Choo choo trains! So I decided if that's what he wants, then that's what he'll get! I have tried my best to incorporate all three themes. I will be taking off from work for his big birthday weekend, so we can all go play as a family on his birthday! I can't believe he is three! It's amazing how fast this time has flown by!
He is going to be an amazing big brother! He kisses my belly and hugs it too. The other day he just started talking to it, for a couple of minutes. I couldn't understand half of what he said! It was hilarious! He is very aware of the baby and is very excited. He keeps telling us he wants a little girl. Landon is such a sweetie and I can't wait to give him a sibling! Last night I was reading to him at bedtime and he pulled up my shirt, kissed my belly and cuddled up next to it. It was the sweetest thing!
Chance our dog is not doing so well. He is gimping on three legs and is literally on his last leg. So, we are thinking that we might have to buy a puppy sooner than we anticipated. I just didn't want to have a baby and a puppy at the same time, but we will see. We also found out that we will have to get new tenants this winter. Ours are being transferred, he is in the Air Force. After this baby is born, Sammi is getting married and that is going to be fabulous! Daddy and I have not been anywhere since Hawaii in 2005, so we are more than due for a vacay! So, it will be a crazy year for us!

WE'RE PREGNANT!!!
I didn't know what to do... Father's day was just a little over a week away. But, I could not NOT tell Shawn. He had been saying for over a week that I was pregnant and I always told him no. I was just SO HAPPY. So, I walked up to him and just said his name, he said "You're pregnant!" All I could do was shake my head yes, I was just so happy and so in shock!
He then said a prayer and kissed my belly, just as he had done with Landon. It was so sweet. After, I called my sisters and my mom to tell them the good news! Again, just as I had done with Landon!
I have started to feel my body stretching and pulling, just a lot earlier than I ever felt it the last time. Few bouts of nausea, but nothing serious. I am way more tired this time than the first! I think I owe that to having Landon to run after and not being able to rest like I did with the first!
Father's Day was truly amazing. My dad, Dan, was going to have a celebration at his house and invited my in-laws. After this was planned, we found out we were pregnant. So, we thought it would be truly special to tell our dads (and everyone there) that we were pregnant! I wanted to do something that would make it magical. I bought a frame for each, that included two smaller frames. In the top frame, I put a picture of Landon, his name and birth date. The bottom frame had a piece of paper that said, "Baby #2 Estimated Due Date: 2/14/2010 You're a grandpa - again!"
I missed seeing my father-in-law's face, but was watching my dad as he saw it first. His eyes gog huge, he looked at me crying and I nodded at him. I ran up and gave him a big hug. By this time, Bill had realized it too, so I gave him a great big hug. At this point, it was out. Everyone was giving us hugs and congratulating us. I was crying and my mother-in-law Pam was crying too! It was the most amazing experience. Everyone was so happy and it was so great to have such wonderful responses to our big news!
Pam and I spoke later and she told me how everyone has been talking about us having another baby and how everyone is very ready. So are we! I had touching converstaions with all of my family memebers, all so excited and ready for this beautiful baby to be here! Bill told me that he knew something was up, he didn't know what, but knew something was going on. We got Pam and my dad by complete surprise, which was totally fun!
I had seen Bill and Pam the night before as we had a Pampered Chef party and Bill was going to watch Landon for us. He said hello and looked at me, as if he knew that there was something I had to tell him. I told Shawn later that I thought he was onto us!
We are so incredibly thrilled! We will be thoroughly enjoying every step along the way and trying to soak up as much Landon as we can before baby boo #2 is here! We are so blessed and so thankful for this precious new life.
We will be 8wks tomorrow! Due on Valentine's Day 2010!
Our little love baby! Affectionately called Baby Boo #2!

Coy Family Update
He is getting so big and so smart every day. This past weekend, he started calling me Mommy when he was tired or sad. This past week he has continued to call me Mommy every now and then. Which, makes me a bit sad as I have always been Mama. But, it is SO CUTE to hear him say Mommy!
Last Sunday we went to Parker Days and had a blast. This weekend Landon will have his second gymnastics class. Hopefully after this class he will know that we aren't just playing there, he is actually in a class! He is learning to hop on one foot which is the most adorable thing!
We also have Father's day on Sunday and I have little surprises planned for the Papas! Going to be so much fun. We are actually going to my Dad's house and so is Shawn's family. They have not all been together since Landon turned one! Some of them haven't seen eachother since he was born! So, we are really excited for that!
Uncle Dave proposed to Sammi on 5/7/2009 and they are thinking of having a destination wedding in April 2010. She and I are in the midst of starting to research and get a place and date set. It's very exciting and we are all SO HAPPY for her!
A few days later Shawn and I celebrated our Sixth Wedding Anniversary and Mother's day all on the same day! It was my third Mother's day! We spent the day with family and friends, it was a perfect day! Although, that night Landon got very sick, so that was hard. But, he recovered just a few days later!
